Ear Wax Removal
Ear wax is a normal component of our body. However, it may require cleaning and removal if it gets infected, or causes hearing loss, infection, tinnitus and other symptoms, or interferes with a hearing aid.
At Kairos, we use microscope with micro suction which is a step forward in the treatment of ear conditions requiring wax removal, rather than age old technique of ear syringing. During ear syringing, wax is flushed out ‘blindly’ with a pressurised stream of water which may cause complications. With our technique, the wax is directly visualised under a microscope whilst it is being removed and no water is involved. This technique is preferred now as it is more precise, gentle on the ear and more comfortable for the patient, and most importantly safer for the patient with a lower risk of infection and a lower risk of damaging the ear drum.

Naso-pharyngoscopy

Ear Microscopy

Ear Endoscopy
is a process in which there is a rigid endoscope used to visualize the ear to analyse the problems in that particular area

Laryngoscopy using telescope
It is done to take a look at hidden areas in the back of your throat, pharynx and larynx using an angled telescope which helps doctors confirm the ailments.

Sleep studies (in house as well as at home)

Hearing Tests & Hearing Aid Services
Keeping your hearing healthy

At Kairos, audiologists can perform a range of diagnostic hearing tests to determine the degree and type of hearing loss.
These tests include Pure Tone Audiometry, Tympanometry (Impedance Audiometry), Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE), BERA (for neonates and infants) as well as speech audiometry.
In addition to general hearing tests, we can also provide tests for specialised purposes, including:
- Police hearing tests
- Pilot hearing tests
- Pre-employment hearing tests
- Neonatal screening hearing tests
- Assessment for cochlear implant candidacy

After getting a complete assessment of patient’s hearing, our doctors and audiologist advise with a suitable treatment for each patient. Depending on the diagnosis we suggest treatment options like medications, surgery, or hearing aids.
Hearing aids are advised as per the degree and type of hearing loss. Each patient for a hearing aid is encouraged to take a trial for hearing aids to assess the benefit, and then make an informed choice before they start to use aids. At Kairos, our audiologists will guide each patient on the correct choice of aids, as well as provide ideal support and follow-up.
